BRAZIL, Para (Bates), Sao Paulo, type. Exp. 32 millim. Seitz: C. batesi Btlr. (13 k) has a unicolorously orange-yellow body; the palpi are either yellow or black, or yellow with a black terminal joint; the forehead is white, vertex and antennae black. Bases of the wings orange, which colour usually extends for a short distance along the costal and inner margin, but may also be confined to a minute spot at the base. Brazil (Sao Paulo).
